""Grizzly Man""
I haven't seen the film but have heard some of the details and that bear was no psycho, it was just being a bear. Bears are omnivores which means they will eat just about anything. The guy was a fool for ever getting that close to bears of any kind without some kind of backup (ie..44 magnum) Bears, grizzlys and especially black bears are one of the most unpresictable animals on the planet and are not to be messed with by amateurs. The taxpayers spend millions every year saving the asses of these weekend warriors who venture in to the wilderness with a cellphone and no clue as to what they are doing. One of the goals of the forest service is to keep the human/animal contact down to a bare minimum as it screws up the natural habits of the animals. As we all know, when people mess with other cultures or species the outcome is always bad. (see Iraq, Native Americans, South American tribes, etc) Sadly, the man was a fool for going in to that territory without knowing what he was doing. The only thing that kept him alive for as long as he lived was blind dumb luck. My father realized years later that he made a mistake taking myself and my brother in to the Montana wilderness 30 years ago without being better prepared and bringing some sort of defensive weapon and he built the trail that we hiked that summer. He still thanks the stars that we all came out in one piece.
