wow...very good documentary watched it until 4 this mourning. It is very clear he was insane and he must have said "i love you" 1000 times through out that documentary, but i think he had very good character.

ha ha i dont mean to ruin it for anyone but theres one scene where he is ranting about park service and he just goes on for like 10 minutes straight just screaming Fuck park service!!!, fuck them!!! and shit like that but everyone of us would go nuts if we were alone that long

I really wish i could have heard a minute or so of the tape of his death i bet it would be horrific

well anyways i recommend this to anyone who wants something long and interesting to watch

I donâ??t channel surf, that is even more annoying than the commercials!!! And you obviously didnâ??t watch this because the amount of commercials they did was more then I have ever seen for any show, on any channel. It was absolutely ridicules!

I didnt like it at all except for the fact its about nature. Tim really didnt bring anything new to the table, I was expecting something entirely different than the usual bear habitat doc., using the played out gimmick of suspense by getting as close as possible to the actual creature. I watch a lot of the Discovery/Times, NG, The Science Channel, etc. type channels stoned n have seen my share of bear as well as other animal documentaries n i gotta say this wasnt anything worthy of being put on a pedestal, kinda crappy too. Also, the guy himself I found annoying, right off the bat his character seemed feeble n too flaky. LMAO, i tuned out when he started getting too sentimental over nothing, then talking about his emotions n how his life would be easier if he were a chick, then going on actuallly making slight effort to justify hes not gay, seeming like he was trying to convince himself more than the viewer. That part did it, that quick I got tired of his undisciplined mentality n needless emotional discourse. For a while they were airing a program [Going Tribal i think] of a guy becoming somewhat family with various indigenous tribes, going along with their lifestyle, even in mind-altering rituals [fav part]. That too wasnt a brand new concept, but it was the latest n most detailed of its kind, worth the view.

sounds more like you are writiing your own autobiography than anything that the movie was saying...

You guys seem to be saying you liked or disliked it based on if you liked or disliked Tim Treadwell! That is not the point. This was a great film about a true story about an obviously disturbed man that did something extraordinary. You donâ??t have to like him or what he did to like this movie. And obviously you did like the movie even though you are bashing the guy or you would have turned it off in the first half hourâ?¦. It was on for like 3 hours!!

Why would you care one way or the other if he was gay or not?!?! It was very clear that he was not a sane person, and if his mental instability had anything to do with being gay or not thatâ??s fine but why would you judge him?? He is dead, what he did was stupid but also pretty amazing. Living with grizzlyâ??s for 13 years is an amazing thing regardless of if he was, gay, or crazy, or liberal, or whatever.

Again if you could not get past your opinions of Tim Tredwell then why did you sit through 3 hours of the show??

Well it was made out to be like he was something special ... he was a pansy ass little weird boy who couldn't accept that he likes men, and that he had no greater asparation in life than to be a prissy actor. He failed. So he took the easy way out and basically committed suicide by agitating bears who were hungry and near their hybernation time.

He didn't deserve to have the time wasted on him for the movie to be made. He was a fuckup, and nothing more. Those animals never needed his protection, and he was worthless for anything but food.

i would agree that he caused more harm then good to those animals, by making them tolerant of humans... but you can't knock the guy for doing what he wanted to do just because it doesn't fit into the norm of society, he did what he had a passion for and died doing it, not many people can say in there life hey did what they loved... but he did, i give him the credit

i had highs and lows for the docu. i am touched that this servant to the wild was so graciously respectable to these wild animals. i was shocked to find out he was killed by the bear along with the lady which i didnt watch enough to find out about her. but the thing i was turned off about was he was too sobbful towards the dead fox and some other animals, i mean buck up and be a man please! i understand you love these animals and all but please dude, if you had some balls you might be alive today cause i would never go around damn grizzlies without a freakn gun!!!!! but the foxes were so adorable, i now am buggin the hubbs to get me a fox but it was just a touching and sad docu. i did overrall enjoyed it for the most part i seen.....

to some people animals are like a fiance, a wife, a brother, or a friend, he was grieving just like we do for fellow humans...
