best outdo strain
Hello cultivators
Currently in Aus (perth). Regardless of lattitude, what is the best outdoor strain that you all can reccomend. My climate (during summer is between 18 to 40 deg c [night and day temps]. It is dry and extremely sunny, plus there is a sea breeze.
The salt from the sea breeze dissapates before it reaches me, so the only worry is the actual wind, wich can get strong. I currently have some Serious Seeds Bubblegum. But if possible will buy another strain. If u can offer some suggestions as to what strain I would be thankful. If you can offer me some suggestions/words of wisdome as to the wind and dry problem I would be doubly thankful.

it sounds like you could use most any outdoor strain. dry, sunny, temps. in the 60s 70s i presume. as for the wind i would recomend using an indica dominate for a short stout plant, that should protect it from the wind. now the dry weather is actualy good for the buds, but make shure you have a fresh water supply near by.

If size is not a problem I would go with a sativa the wind make the plant stronger. I live in a place were we have a two month season of strong winds in the desert and the wind is never harmfull even though sometimes you look at your plant in the wind and cringe it never seems to damage. Only make them bigger.

thankyou for the advice, much appreciated - i would have preferred a sativa dominant. but am open to anything to be realistic.
how do you think the bubblegum would perform outdoors?
Also should I just let it bush or should i select leaders? Never grown outside before, when i grew indoors i ran four leader branches per plant... not sure.

All depends on how big an area you have to work with kind of like indoors only on a larger scale. If you have no restrants I would not top them at all. but if like most people you need to make sure no one sees them then you would top them and mybee even tie them down to keep the from getting to tall .

Indica strains grow too tall. I recommend a sativa strain for the wind problem, because they are the shortest strain to grow.

wait a min. here. indica plants are short plants with dense buds. sativa plants grow tall like a pine tree w/o any topping.

No, you are mistaken my friend. You see, people that grow indoors choose pure sativa or mostly sativa hybrids because they grow shorter. This is the same everywhere, just like scientific laws are the same everywhere.

lol
i find this everywhere and will refuse to side.
indica, short and dense buds. sleepy stoney high.
indica, tall loose buds. lifted high.
sativa, tall and loose buds. lifted high.
sativa, tall and loose buds. sleepy stoney high.
sativa, short sleepy stoney high.
these are all things that through my travels i have heard as gospel. i refuse to side as i've seen indica's of both ilk. same with sativa. thanks all for your input though. i think that there are a few misconceptions. all i know is this.

but no one has answered the bubblegum question

how will they perform outside? in the 'big book of buds' it is noted to be sativa dominant and its preferred method is soil indoors. i don't think it would be too bad, but if there are voices of experience out there i would like to hear them
thanks again for your advice i hope i can in some way repay it other than
all the time....
