Misty Mountains
Hi, Iâ??m a guy living in the heart of Australiaâ??s Blue Mountains wilderness; a cozy village near the top of a range of low-rising mountains. Winter here, big flakes of snow one day, sunny the next. I enjoy skiing but need to travel South for a few hours before the coverâ??s any good. I hope to travel North to Nimbin in Spring to enjoy the peace and hospitality of the people and the land.
I threw in my city job four years ago and I take life very easy and am grateful to live at my own pace. I traveled to Amsterdam in 1994, brought back some seeds and grew hydro under fluorescent lights. The smoke was disappointing; possibly because it was hydro or maybe because I didnâ??t know how to grow. These days, I very rarely smoke though enjoy it when itâ??s offered. Iâ??ve taken LSD infrequently, but on one occasion, I took too much and learned a very healthy respect for psychedelics.
Nevertheless, Iâ??m looking for another opportunity to take a peaceful trip â?? Nimbin near Queensland could be the perfect place.
I am looking for romance in my neighborhood or even upstate. Maybe Iâ??ll work out how to upload a photograph. Drop me a line if you want to get to know me better.dreaming Reviewed by dreaming on . Misty Mountains
Hey, nice to meet you! Seems that weâ??re a nice bunch of people and weâ??re travelling in interesting ways. I hope to travel to Ireland one day and the States too. My mountains are some ways from the red dust of australiaâ??s true outback but the scenes here are often harsh and majestic. These hills were as high as Tibet eons ago and weâ??ve even got a kind of dinosaur tree called the Wollemi Pine (location secret). Anyway, the locals make things happy and friendly, just now itâ??s Christmas in Winter and thereâ??s hearty food and plenty of wine and cheer to go round. Iâ??ll answer Melanus with another rhyme from the Hobbit.
The Clean-up Song
Chip the glasses and crack the plates!
Blunt the knives and bend the forks!
That's what Bilbo Baggins hates-
Smash the bottles and burn the corks!
Cut the cloth and tread on the fat!
Pour the milk on the pantry floor!
Leave the bones on the bedroom mat!
Splash the wine on every door!
Dump the crocks in a boiling bowl;
Pound them up with a thumping pole;
And when you've finished, if any are whole,
Send them down the hall to roll!
That's what Bilbo Baggins hates!
So, carefully! carefully with the plates!
