Sexing Questions

most all plants will show preflowers by the 6th week of veg especially if a 18/6 light cycle is used(some sativas could take a bit longer). the longest a plant has ever gone in my grows without showing preflowers was 7weeks and it was a bogglegum male. it is not just autoflower strains that show preflowers. i am very suprised that your ww's haven't showed at 120days. they must be monsters! the nodes are alternating, right? in my experience preflowers come before alternating nodes. post some close ups of the nodes if you can especially nodes on the main stem. i suspect that if you look hard you will find some. i just can't believe a plant would go 4 months without showing sex!

Now I really need to find those pre-flowers... as my clones from the "cloning for sex" operation just, um, died.

I understand your point, but, only good things can come from this::
A- My plants do have pre-flowers, but I'm so fucking stupid I haven't spotted them.
B- My plants are a new, wierd mutation that doesn't show pre-flowers...

CORRECTIONS: I checked my pictures, and the plants aren't in their 120ish day, they're on day 116 today.

Thanks for the help... It'd be great if I could find out my females, without having to clone for sex yet again...

i can't see any in those pics. look between the stipule and gowth tip. check every node on the plant. there has to be 1 somewhere after 4 months on 18/6! i'll post some pics of preflowers as soon as i can. also i noticed the nodes are alternating so they are definetely mature. if you read almost any reputable mj culitivation book it will tell you mj plants will show preflowers if vegged long enough(at least 4-6weeks). this situation is very interesting to me. now go and look over those plants very very carefully. i have used a 30x magnification jewelers loupe to spot/identify preflowers in the past. you can use a magnifying glass if you have one available.

Darn, I forgot to tell you about the alternating nodes... but alas, you already saw it... yes, all 4 have alternating nodes.

i'm very low tech and i can't figure out how to make my digicam focus on objects that are less than a foot away. i try to take a pic of preflowers and the camera focuses on something behind what i am trying to shoot leaving the branch i wanted to shoot all blurry. it's a sony cybershot. it was given to me and my wife for taking pics of the kids. there were great preflower pics on og!

On your camera, check to see if one of the buttons display a "flower" type icon... that's usually for objects "closer than 18 inches away".

I checked my plants:::
Ok, being guided by the picture I gave in the link, I can tell you two of the plants have very long "Stipules".

Close to the stalk, at the base of the Stipules, the best I could see was one little ball... it didn't have "Pistils" growing out of it, but it was only one... not a couple (like a male plant's).

I'll keep on searching... I'm going to take them out of the cabinet, because the fucking 400W MH is really the shit... Jesus! I can see xRay vision now!

that's a good diagram. keep a close eye on the "ball" over the next few days. it could be a growth tip but you will know for sure in a few days. i wish i could contact bLAZEoFgLORY he knows his shit and ran the sexing thread at og. i never contacted those guys any other way than pm so i don't have any e-mails. good luck with the search. i'll keep check my computer this evening in case you find something interesting.

Yeah, they're my WW... but I'm growing my mother plants... I'm planning on staying with these pants for years to come... so that's why I've LSTed the shit out of them.

As to "starting my grow soon", because I'm growing mother plants, I still haven't started my actual bud-producing grow... I want my buds now! lol

Hey aSeed, thanks a million for this.

I see the pre-flowers... but they're TINY compared to yours... I can see yours in your pictures.... I can make out the "Calyx" and "Pistilates" in your pictures. My girls have that, but I'm telling you, they're micro... super small.

Anyways, if I'm not mistaken, I've got a confirmation of a female... my two headed monster... that's a female.

In addition, I think that the biggest one of my plants is a male... I just see one tiny little ball by the side of the "Stipule". But the female, I can see the very, very tiny "Calyx" with super short "Pistils" on top of them. That's a female!
