Your post are really deceiving, usually you make some points un-arguable, but about this subject it was really retarded...No offence of course, let me explain...

Instead of fighting the Germans, they surrendered. They didnt even put up much of a fight.

I didn't mean militarily, I mean they gave you your constitution in the sense that typically French ideas and philosophy are behind the very foundation of your country. You guys were a testing ground for the experiment, and (until recently, at least )you guys were successful at it, so the French went ahead with their own Revolution...
