Didn't say we were perfect. Just addressing the question.

And do you forget? You owe your very existence to the French. Your precious constitution is a product of French Enlightenment.

LOL....They had self interests at heart. Hell, the British and French have a long history.

So I guess, it all makes sense. You guys no longer adhere to Enlightenment priciples outlined in your constitution. You're moving away from a secular government, from guaranteed freedoms, I guess it's normal that you hate the people who gave it to you.

The French gave us aid in the fight with the Brits...by no means did they "give" us our freedom.

Don't misinterpret me, France as a nation has gone downhill rapidly since WW1, but up to that point they were the cultural heart of Europe and the world. You like to make jokes about France surrendering, and it's valid to a certain point, but I think the experience of WW1 was traumatic to the country, but they stayed their ground and fought Germany for four long hard years on French soil... Half the country was destroyed, and most wasn't even re-built byt the time WW2 came around the corner....

We lost over 150,000 men to give aid to France...no mention of that?

So yeah, make jokes all you want, but remember that "Freedom", "Democracy", "Separation of Church and State", "Constitution", and of course "Liberty" (both the statue and the concept) are French inventions.

Now as for French-Canadians.... as long as they're not racist, they're cool
Go Canada!
