Help! I have a nutrient problem

I am growing four plants from clones. Two are romulan haze and two are G13 x mango. One of each is in soil and one of each is in a hydroponic waterfarm system. After I transplanted my soil plants into three gallon pots they are looking much better. My hydro plants on the other hand are looking kinda burnt.

These plants got burned right when I put them into my waterfarms because I didn't have a tds/ppm meter at the time. When I bought a ppm meter 2 days later I found out that my ppm was around 1900. So I changed my nutrient solution which brought the ppm down to around 650. Eventually the ppm rose back up to over 800 and my plants were still looking burnt. I then added water to my nutrient solution to bring the ppm back down to around 550. After a few days at around 600 ppm I still wasnt noticing an improvement. Finally, last night I emptied out all the nutrients and just put in tap water with a PH adjusted to 6.1. I plan on flushing them like this for about 24 hours.

The first picture is of some of the older and more burnt leaves.

The second picture is of the whole plant. Notice that some of the leaf tips are curling up as well as turing brown.

The third picture is of my hydro romulan haze plant. This one doesnt seem to mind the nutrients quite as much as the first plant (G13 x mango)

It is amazing how much faster the hydroponic plants are growing. You can see how much larger they are than the soil plants in the last picture.

So what do you think? Am I doing the right thing by flushing them for 24 hours? Does it look like there are any nutrient deficiencies? Will the leaves with burnt edges and tips ever recover or should I prune the worst of them off to allow more light to younger healthier leaves?

I have had all 4 of these clones under my 400w MH for 10 days now. Considering their current size and age, what would be a good PPM to put them at when I am done flushing.

As for nutrients I am using GH 3 part nutes at the ratios recommended by the video http://www.seemorebuds.com

Thanks in advance for the help. I really need it considering this is my first grow.

    Yo towel...

how big is your system? (gallons) I'd say 500-600 ppm is good for a plant that size... what is the ppm of the tap water you're using?

the GH 3 part is good shit... although when you flower, if you use all three parts, there is too much Nitrogen, which will slow down the flowering process... i use the "Lucas formula" which doesnt use the flora grow for flower... there is plenty of nitrogen in the Micro. I'm not sure if you've ever heard of that but its like 5mL per gal of micro 10 mL per gal of bloom ONLY DURING FLOWER... its from Overgrow - same as me, when it comes back you can search over there for more detailed info.

are you using any other additives?

put'em at 500, even if thats a weak solution - they'll still take off and blow right past a soil plant  then just increase LITTLE by little.. till you see the tips of the leaves burn, then back it down a few ppm... (like 100-200) thats about the max you'll want to give that plant.. if you have 2 different strains in the same hydro system (usually discouraged) you can only give them as much as the one who likes the solution the weakest... know what I mean?

    peace mang... and good luck!

Help! I have a nutrient problem

The flushing idea was a great one...I would suggest using a 33% 1-1-1 to start off with (very safe)1-1-1 means 1part of each micro grow and bloom...
I think BS420 gave you good advice, but your plants look pretty good considering what you did, so I would take it light for a week using 1-1-1 formula, then I would go with what is recommended on the bottle 1-1-1... after you change photoperiod to 12/12 use lucas formula for bloom photoperiod...

by 33% take the direction's on the bottle and mix 1/3 of what they say to use in veg photoperiod, I think that would be 5ml per gallon.

I also, would like to know if you have thought of using any additives...I would recommend you get some Liquid Karma and keep it simple this grow; You will be happy if you do...hope this helps, welcome to the forums, both of you...Goodluck.lw

yo latewood - is liquid Karma the best - whats it really do in terms of yeild... i got a good size grow goin' now and i'm just using the lucas formula and some superthrive... i've never gotten anything else, but if it really helps the yeild that much i'm game... i'm only a few weeks into flower of some grapefruit.

i was looking at some diamond nectar or something... (made by GH?)

    what have you used?

hey bro, LIquid Karma is a Catalyst, with Vitamins and Hormones like superthrive (which I Love, and use), but it also contains Humic and fulvic acids and other beneficial's...It also does a good job of keeping your res happy...great stuff.

I started out with AN 3-part and superthrive , epsom salts and H2o2...
then I wanted something professional, because I was having good results just like you. What you use is all that you need to grow good healthy plants, BUT, when I added the Liquid Karma...they started growing 'Apeshit'
I have since added Fossil Fuel, Voodoo Juice (if you want to see some 'sick shit', splurge for this product)...I also use Calmag+ from Botanicare...I Love Botanicare products as well as Advanced Nutrients...I combine a recipe/tea of both...Hell, here we go again, lolhere is my recipe w/out values...

I use PH'd ROwater, because when pro nutes are mixed in ROwater, the ph is almost always perfect, without adjustment!!!

    For MMJ, veg:
AN 3-part...all the way until Flush
AN Voodoo juice up until 3rd week flower, then once with Overdrive
Liquid Karma, all the way through until flush
    Calmag+, all the way t...u...f
Fossil Fuel 50%, because LK contains 1/2 a dose of Humics, same...
    Hygrozyme, same...

    for MMJ flower:
    AN 3-part
    voodoo juice 2 weeks
Liquid Karma until last 2 weeks
    Calmag+...same...
    fossil fuel...same
    Hygrozyme...same
1st week of flower...AN-Bud Blood w/recipe for 1 week only
    2nd through 6th week AN-Big Bud
week 7 a dose of voodoo juice and replace Big Bud with Overdrive, then wk 8 no Voodoo
Flush in week 9 with final phase...

You can omit week between week 2-6 if you want shorter flower time...I generally go to 9-11 weeks for trichome maturity, my personal preference...

    I'm sure this more than answer's your Q...sorry later.lw

It is the last thing I got...I tell you the plants had growth shoots growing out faster than I could check'em out...If you can get it for 50 bucks, then I say you ought to try it...If you are growing clones, then you only use it about 4 weeks...
I like all the products I use...If I could just choose 1 additive it would be liquid
karma...only 2 then lk and calmag+...then Hygrozyme and the flower/blossom/and oil boosters

If you can't get it now wait...

    everything is on the way.

    1 gal liquid Karma...
    1 qt voodoo juice...
    1 qt overdrive...

less than $120 delivered imp: thank you Ebay!

if that squeezes out another 1/2 oz I'll be a happy man

if my system is a 35 gal how many applications of the voodoo juice will I get? (ie - how many mL per gal do you mix)
