    Bill's

Anyone ever goto the free concerts there on Saturday or the lunch deal on Friday?

Im into hippie country like Robert Earl Keen and stuff like that. Probably not too popular on here. Whenever I see the post what are you listening to now, its usualy Korn or ICP or some kind of rap. Nothing wrong with that Im really into all music, but Im pretty mellow these days.

These local guys these days are great. They grew up listening to what is classic rock now and some of them can really wright some great songs.

Anyway this weekend at Bill's is Houston Marchman and some other folks. He is pretty edgy has a great song, kind of a Bonnie and Clyde deal, about the Texas meth trade. Also, there is free Bar B Q and stuff. So might make an intersting place to meet up this weekend. Let me know if anyone else would want to check it out. Even if you dont like Houston's music Bill's has it all. Ive been going there for close to 20 years.

I've never been to Bill's. It sounds like a good place. Where is it located.

I've been known to listen to Robert Earl Keen (actually my Mom is a big fan) You know the guy that is trying to run for Gov......Kinky Friedman.

I think you may like his stuff. His band is Kinky Friedman and the Texas Jewboys. He's got my vote.

Ya Robert Earl Keen is cool, he can really write a great song. Its like he can really tell a story. Everyone here should heard his song The Road Goes on Forever atleast once. The anithero of the song is this dude Sunny and he introduces him as a little order then the rest, he was going in the navy but couldnt pass the test, so he hung around town and sold a little pot, the law got wind of Sunny one day he got caught, but he was back in bussiness when they put him on the street again. The road goes on forever and the party never ends. Hell if nothing else its like the damn drunken Texas frat boy sing along song of all time.

Anyway, its all good stuff several stoner songs. Trent Summner I think it has one called lets all get stoned. where he says you sing the low parts and brother Ill sing mine hi...............

Im so stoned, seemed like there was something else in the post I was replying to I was going to comment on and now I have no idea........Ok time for a bong hit and Ill be right back...................

Oh ya Bill's is at Spring Valley and Coit its been there for years, it used to be Bill's records and tapes, now I think its Bill's CDs and stuff, but he has everything. Records, tapes, CDs even 8 tracks. Along with all the stuff to go with it, posters T shirts buttons all kinds of stuff. Its said he has like several warehouse just full of stuff. If he doesnt have it he will get it for you. Its a cool place if nothing else just to walk around and check out. Any kind of music from real hardcore import punk to whatever else. Its deffintely the best place to find local music too. We used to go see a band in Deep Ellum that plaed all over huge band, drums, bass, guitars, horn section precussion section they where awesome. during the set they would all march through the crowd playing. anyway they where only togther a year or two and split up put out one local tape, strung out on beef....LOL I was able to find a copy at Bill's that thing came out back when Emmitt Smith was just starting to run the football for Dallas.

Ok I better go before this thing rambles on anymore. I need a new job. I think I have cabin fever.....LOL
