Past strains are crap compared to what is grown nowadays.... in the 70's, the average THC content of weed (per ATF figures) was from 0.2 to 2%.

Ok, nowadays, the chronic that your smoke, is between 15 and 20% THC content.

In the old days, all this shit was grown outdoors. Now, it's grown indoors, getting SCRoGed, LSTed, grown hydroponically, with super fertilizer, bloom boosters and 1200Watts of artificial Metal Halide & High Pressure Sodium lights.
I'm happy to say that today's chronic will kick "Acapulco Gold's" ass any day.

Of course, an outdoor grown plant can get to 50% THC content....

I am sad to say I am not old enough to have tried the Acapulco Gold from the seventies.

I have hanged around alot of older people who have though.

And I have also seen pictures of my uncle charles..of a GREY WEED. He said it was the smoothest smoke he ever had, with one of the best high. Not a one hitter quitter, just, the best high he ever had. Of course, he has claimed to have gotten his hands on Acapulco Gold, Maui Wowie, and all the likes of great weed from back in the day.

my dad has this old bronze belt buckle from the 70's that has a pot leaf ingraved on the front and on the back it says "Weed Hall Of Fame", I cannot remember all of them on there but there was AP, panama red, mexican, thai, jamacin...maybe i did remember them all.

AG was as good as what we get today. it was an outstanding high. it was what the columbians did before coke. Panama Red was a great body rush of a high, do you think the Greatful Dead would make a song about lame ass weed? not likely! there was excellent mexican also-Michoacán. named after the area it was grown. there was Waki Weed also, which was the original 1hit shit. last but not least was the Jamaican strains. like Chocolate Thai and Lambs Breath. all these weeds were as good as the basic exotic i smoke today, with the exception of White Widow and Kush. which i'm sure all agree are the BOMB.

Like infidel say's the California Cannabis clubs sell it. It's good for pain relief because its 100% indica and super potent. I've gotten some before but didn't particulary like it. Got me seriously stoned but knocked me out. Might as well have taken sleeping pills.
