The movie sucked. Ending was absolutely insanely illogical. If aliens planning for many years were that stupid, and made those major miscalculations, they wouldn't be smart enough to plan it in the first place. It is an insult to people's intelligence, no verisimilitude at all.

I mean I'm not about to criticize on the acting, because I know nothing about acting. But how far does acting alone take an insensible story? A very good storyline can take bad acting and turn it into a classic, but movies with bad stories, even with good acting/actors are shitty.

Like I said, before, if I was gonna make a movie, I could only dream of accomplishing comparable special-effects. That kind of takes your mind off the movie.

I got really stoned and watched this yesterday. I thought it was pretty good despite the actors involved. I actually thought the ending was pretty good. Not the very last little bit, fucking sappy Hollywood shit, but the way the aliens were taken out. A lot better than having the unstoppable U.S. Army, led by G. W. Bush of course, rise to the occaision with flags waving.
