Single Plant SCROG Grow.....Good Idea?

no, i really haven't even been growing that long. i just read alot and i guess i'm a quick learner. i have no idea what's up with og. the owner of the site, RC, also owns heaven's stairway and that site is down too i hope he didn't get popped like emery did! thanks for the pm directions. i would never have figured that out!

Justaseed -> thats gonna be a nice crop... its so pretty! I thought mine would look like that... but I did go a little crazy on the light... i am working with limited space, so i used a 2' x 6' screen, and a huge light thinking i could keep it up higher. Well - the ladies have lots of light, which is good, and i was tyin'em all down nice and neat keepin' within 6" of the screen but damn... after 2 weeks of flower, they just get so damn big they got nowhere else to go! So I just let'em start goin' up... now they are like 2' above the screen, with big thick stems makin' some trichs like mad. They arent even 3 weeks into flower yet.. i hope they are done stretching. They are in 5 gal DWC buckets, and the tops gotta be over 4' tall now.. they have taken over the room - i can barely walk past them anymore... and if I do - i have to change my clothes before I go anywhere, cuz I reeeeek of weed. I'm not sure what i have created.

My guess is this wont be the "traditional" scrog... but it looks like 1 big bush and there are probably 30-50 big strong colas in the making.. i used the FIM technique, and topped them too... so they were supposed to be very branchy... 1000 watts has caused a few problems... but I guess they are good probs... like the small plants had a node spacing of maybe 1" so when they were 1' tall they probably had 12-14 nodes... they were crazy bushy and I didnt know where to put the screen - so i switched bulbs to HPS to make them stretch, and flowered them 2 weeks early... glad i did that.

I just secured some Liquid Karma (1 gal) , voodoo juice (1 qt), and overdrive (1 qt) which i'm going to research and use soon. I cant wait to try the voodoo juice... @ $80 a litre it better do SOMETHING

sounds like a kick ass scrog! i use liquid karma, thrive alive red, big bloom and tiger bloom for flowering. i always wanted to try a 1000hps scrog. done right you should get a very large yeild. i'm curious to know what your yield will be. keep updating your grow on this thread (if you don't mind). what strain are you growing? i have found white widow to be an excellent strain for scrog. my next grow i will try gypsys kiss from reeferman. i have 6 nice gk ladies in veg right now waiting for openings in the flower chambers. i also have 1 gk in my tvstand cab about 26days into flower and it looks great. i hope they take to scroggin' like the ww's do.

I'll stick around - i hear OG is down for a WHILE... for some "major" upgrade... ??? but thats where my grow log is... my thread shows what i used to use... and how far I've come. I'll stick around tho.

instead of using string to tie the plants to the screen try this. it is wire for hooking up phone jacks. it has 4 strands inside and it bends and stays bent. i love it!
