    suburban grow and watering

Our winters in north Cal are fairly warm and somewhat wet. Could a plant sustain itself most of the time on rain water, if there was rain about twice a week? I would also appreciate tips on somewhat good locations I could find to guerilla grow in a suburban enviorment (perhaps the roof of a store)?

    Next?

    Winter.. outdoors?

    I don't think so....

plants begin to FLOWER (go into a reproductive state/make buds) when there is less than 12-14 hours of daylight... which is good... but the plant needs some long days, 14+ hours of daylight in order to get some substanctial vegatative growth...

SO... basically what I am saying is NO..

    and now you KNOWM

If you wait till the winter is over and there are no more frosts...it would prabably be OK...you do know it's the wrong season for ganja right...
Rooftops are good...tree tops...if you have the tools and the ability....I'd cut just the top of a tree off and put my plant in a big pot sunkin into the trunk at the top.But I just put up a fence,.

What if you grew it under cfls or somthing indoors, then moved it outside when you want it to flower. I guess by that time, it would almost be the correct season to start with. Damn, i'm really wanting to do an outdoor grow this year.:rasta: Good luck.

This plant was placed outdoors on new years eve. She is growing a LOT more slowly then her indoor sisters but she is growing buds. This pic was taken very recently.

Yes if you start them indoors and get some size to them then you can flower them outdoors. A lot of people around here get two crops per year by flowering one in the late winter and another at the regular time. The spring crop is smaller then the fall crop but not by a HUGE amount.

I don't know the weather in nor cal but if your are growing in a container then the plants will need water a lot more then if they were straight in the soil.

If this is your first grow I would wait till spring and start em off the tried and true way.

you probly could pull it off if you do this...

start em inside at 16/8 lightcycle (try to keep your grow area about the same temp as it is outside, to reduce transplant shock), give em a month or so for veg growth, then move them outside. it will should force them to flower. and they'll probably do really good cuz the weather will just keep getting better as they mature.

the lengthening of days towards the end of flowering could either be extremely good, or it could be kinda bad.
