Anyone good at history?
My teachers a bad teacher. But anyway I am supposed to do a powerpoint project by wednesday with 9-12 slides. The only info we got was "focus on one or more country and analyze how resources and location have led to cooperation and/or conflict". He also gave us a world population data packet and it has charts and graphs about countries' population over time.
I dont get how we are supposed to use population data to tell what the culture is like and what kind of resouces the have. ANd im not good at history at all and I have no clue howw start.
any ideas would be great.ibreakthings Reviewed by ibreakthings on . Anyone good at history? My teachers a bad teacher. Hmm...you could talk about cocaine or coffee/banannas in south america and how other countries (ie the US) have intervened, putting in ruthless dictators to either (try to) prevent coke from being made or allow the countries to still trade (aka a "bananna republic). Good examples of that are Nicaragua, Chile ( think), and maybe Columbia.
You could also do oil in the mid east, but thats an obvious one.
I don't know too much about oil, but I can help you out with Bananna republics, esp Nicaragua. I'm actually writing a thesis on it right now.
edit: I reread the question and you would probably need to do your own research besides just the charts.
