When the Godfather book (Mario Puzo) and movie (Brando, Pacino, Caan) came out, it was considered by many "intellectuals" to be a way of comparing corporations to criminal organizations (the "Mob").

I had one problem with that, being from Brooklyn. If you owed a few grand to American Express, and didn't pay, you'd get your paycheck garnished - at worst. If you owed the "boys" that much, and refused to pay, you'd get a baseball bat across the head. In their defense, though, the mob guys didn't pick on innocent civilians - most people that have problems with them are asking for it.

Comparing corporations to murderous terrorist savages is not realistic. The only way to beat them (terrorists) is to turn the tables and put fear where it belongs - in their back yard.
