Ok, ten days ago I got a cold. Then it became bronchitis. Which turned into pleurisy (an infection in the lung lining or something like that). I have been coughing my ass off all hours for at least 7 days straight. Vicodin cough syrup helps a little. It is driving me crazy and it hurts. The doctor refuses to give antibiotics because he says it's viral.

Now I'm freaking out about lung cancer and all that crap. I feel like I'm never going to feel better. Can the lungs renew themselves after smoking/illness? I heard they can...hope it's true!

My husband is demanding that I immediately cease smoking cigarettes and weed. Cigarettes...fine. Hard to stop but way worth it in the end. Weed...I love weed...I don't know if I can stop.

I am thinking of eating the weed and/or vaporizing the weed rather than smoking. But I don't have a good vap right now and I don't have enough weed to eat. I think I'm going to finish smoking what I have, then start eating and vaporizing. I'm saving short-term for a Vapor Bros but I am saving long term for a Volcano!

Anyone else have lung problems and smoke weed? Any advice, tips, stories?

No lung problems yet.

Eating has it's advantages! Longer plateau times and more psychotropic effects!

I've been getting a bad cough for the last few months.. but i think it's been seasonal. I find myself coughing up little packages of greyish/green flem..the result of smoking daily for almost two years now. I don't smoke cigarettes.

Smoking though..lowers your immune system.. so if you've been smoking both cigarettes and marijuana on top of having this viral infection then you're only hurting yourself in the end.
Stop smoking. If you love weed, you'll stop smoking until you have your infection under control...continue smoking with your infection and you run the risk of causing additional or irreversable damage.
Lung problems + ANY smoke = bad news.

Sounds like that horrible chest cold I had. 4 Weeks. Passed out while working as I could not breath, (I work outdoors). I had to stop smoking as my lungs could not handle anymore. And I do have a vap. All you can do is wait. Have you tried those medicines with the exporates (not spelling right) Your local pharmacy would know. It is the cough medicine designed to break up severe chest colds. It took me about 4 days of that before my chest started breaking up. It was not pretty. My lungs are still healing. I cannot smoke unless it is through the Vap at this time. It sucks that is for sure and mine caught up with me two days after I got that flu shot. Agggghhh. Good luck. It will force you to slow down. I am sure my cold was worse than normal as I was toking way more than usual for the past few months.

if you stop smoking cigarettes for good and just smoke weed, maybe even a little more than usual since no more ciggarettes, your problems with slowly drift away and your lungs will be very happy... another suggestion though would be to invest in a vaporizor, i use one and its the best thing ive ever paid for. very healthy and conservative with cannabis. hope you feel better!

I heard, a while back, that if you stop smoking cigarettes, it takes your body seven years to totally cleanse itself. Like, seven years for your lungs to return to normal, just like before the first cigarette.

Yes stop smoking cigs, you will thank yourself. Also, if you dont want to spend money on a vaporizer just get a light bulb, slowly pry off the metal part with a pair of plyers, wash out the inside withh vinegar so that it is clean and clear. Then, take a 2 liter cap, drill 2 holes in it and find something like a thick pen tube and stick one in one of the holes and then a shorter one in the other hole.

Then u got urself a great home made vaporizer. Just dont break it and it should last as long as u need it to.

You can get some thicker glass such as a jar or something if you wanna be creative but thats how you make a vaporizer.
