There are billions and billions of stars, and those stars have planets.. so there's billions of trillions of planets out there like ours.
To deny the mere possibility that there is life in the universe aside from ours is just silly.

I was having a conversation last night with my friend, and he says that he thinks that somewhere out there, there is a parallel universe that has another earth and there are people there doin exactly the same as us.....now i think thats a awesome total mind smeg, wow! the universe excites me.
