    Scientific Explanations

Dear fellow tokers, I was curious about the scientific explanations behind some of the stuff being high does to different people, physically and mentally. I was wondering if you could answer any of these questions, and if not if you could direct me to a book or other resource where I might find out.

Why does the mouth get dry?

Why does it make you giggly?

Why do the eyes get bloodshot?

Why does it make you tingly sometimes?

Why does it make it hard to focus and remember things short-term?

Why does it make some people paranoid?

Why does it make the heart beat faster?

Why does it enhance creativity for some?

Why do some like it and others not?

Why do you get tired afterwards?

Why does it make you interested in details?

Why does it give you crazy dreams?

    Why...other effects?

Some guesses: I guess that the bloodshot eyes and raised heartrate have something to do with blood pressure. I bet that it makes people giggly simply because some of the body sensations kind of tickle you, or make you feel like you're on a roller coaster or something. I guess it makes some paranoid because they misinterpret the fast heartbeat, and it also heightens your senses so you can hear things around you and think the cops are coming or something.

    Explanations?

Why does it make some people paranoid?

Why does it make the heart beat faster?

can't tell you exact terminology on these, but.. i'm almost positive both are caused by a reaction between the weed and the body that increase adrenaline.

Why do some like it and others not?

there is no scientific terminology answer for this question, it's just plain and simple, some people do some people don't, it's no more diffrent then why some people like fish, and others hate seafood.

Why does it enhance creativity for some?
Why does it give you crazy dreams?

again, dont' know exact terminology and this one i'm not sure about. i know that there are diffrent parts of the brain, as in diffrent parts of the brain are dedicated to certain purposes... i would guess, that something in weed, stimulates the creative part of the brain.

Why does the mouth get dry?
Why do the eyes get bloodshot?
my best guess is these two are linked, and i'm not even 10% on this, but it's my best guess. i'm going to guess that weed dehydrates you, atleast to some extent. bloodshot eyes are a symptom of dehydration

Pretty much right on most of them

But weed doesnt dehydrate you, it fool your boddy into thinking it's dehydrated so it trys to conserve water by storing it in your internal organs.

And the paranoid/heart beat faster is mostly placibo effect.

    i really never get paranoid,...

but way back when i was a rookie. i had a panic attack when i was "too high"

kinda sucked... but after you learn about the substance you're using.. everything is perfect.

a good substance user is educated.

The red eyes are because the THC dilates the blood vessels in your eyes, giving you less pressure and easier blood flow. This is also why it's good for treating glaucoma.

When ever I'm talking about it to my friends in public or whatever, I refer to shwagg as chicken and premium bud as steak. "So what do you want for dinner tonight? Chicken or steak?"

Why does the mouth get dry?

Why does it make you giggly?im french and dont know what it means

Why do the eyes get bloodshot? increased dilatation of the vessels

Why does it make you tingly sometimes? im french and dont know what it means

Why does it make it hard to focus and remember things short-term? it depends on the rate you consume, as a heavy user yes it was true but now i slowed it to 2-3 times a 7 day week and i don't have that problem...but you know using a drug, it's normal to feel weird when you don't consume it...

Why does it make some people paranoid? mind-set only affects this, i never was paranoid, and in general here in canada, no one becomes paranoid unless they had a real stressing day...

Why does it make the heart beat faster? anything you smoke is not the best for your heart but i don't get that all the time so again the mind-set affects it...

Why does it enhance creativity for some? pot enhence your consciousness and senses, if you are creative sober when high you'll explode of creativity...

Why do some like it and others not? common is this serious?

Why do you get tired afterwards? depends on the strain, or with hash i stay awake for a good time...but the strains that do get you tired is because tit numbs your cells

Why does it make you interested in details?ot enhence your consciousness and senses

Why does it give you crazy dreams? i don't have dream at all when heavy toking...so it's a matter of person to person...

Why...other effects? when you use a psycho-drug a lot as to play on the mind set so a lot of the effects can be controlled...i even had allucinations with pot and another day, while smoking the same pot, didn't see one...so really what you are defines you're effect...

but the best would be for you to start your searches from scratch, the only real way to learn, but beware that not all informations are true, use your judjment and own experiences...smoke a lot smoke less and see the differences...pot is a multi layer drug you do what you and only you wants with it, it doesn't control your life, which is why i don't think it is an addictive drug...
