Hey mountainman,

I am glad that this is a great topic of interest, but i did look at the post following this, what i am looking for is a comparison of using co2 to using the chemicals. Did you try both or just with chems?

I ask because i am finding myself adding about 7-10 ml of 15% nitric acid by optimum every 2-3 hours. I use an aero system with 80 holes and about 60L i use the Advanced nutes high yield formula, with a few extras.

Haven't tried the CO2. I have been dumping quite a bit of acid in, the bigger the plants grow or the more beneficials you have, the more change there is.

So my regime does not sound too far fetched?
I was completely worried. My last setup i only grew 40 holes. But i only had to pH twice every 24 hours, and i had to use a dropper. but now i have it so down pact that i use a whole 5 ml syringe shot straight up. And this sudden change scared me.
I found your pH controller thread, so how does it know how much to give. or is it run on a timer with the end constricted. I don't want to give it too much.
Because it takes a min to get an accurate ph reading.
