first timer n00bie looking for advice

Hi all -

I'm never used mj before, but my curiousity has been sparked and I want to give it a try. I've spent several hours reading these forums and piecing together the basic info (ways to use, how to determine the quality, reasonable prices, etc.) Unfortunately I don't have any stoner friends to rely on and get me started, so I'm having a bit of a tough time...

I've made a couple posts on the 'want ads' page, but so far I haven't been comfortable with my options. Buying from a MOM seems like the least risky option, but I don't know how to tell which are reliable and which aren't. I'm not against getting a hookup from someone local (I live outside of Philly), but again, it's hard to know who is trustworthy (and any provider would feel the same way about me.) I'm a working professional and need to err on the safe side. I really can't risk getting arrested over something stupid.

Ahh, yea you're nearby - I'm in Lansdale.

buy it in bulk off someone on this site and get a good smoking device aswell trust me you wont regret it the herb is an amazing thing

Thanks, that's what I was planning on doing. Based on what I've read, I think I'm going to go with a Vapor Bros vaporizer. Sounds like vaporizing gives a nice clean high as well as being a bit healthier overall.

Not to discourage you, but I'd recommend holding off on spending your cash on a vaporizor until you've smoked something first - at least make sure you LIKE it, lol! This is a mj board: despite the impressions that you may have from reading these sites, smokers are in the minority - and most people do NOT like it.

You're better off trying some in a cheap pipe, or rolling paper, first.
