what kind of metal and how thick

Its just the metal on the hoods. Looks like 1/16".

:stoned: sheet metal cutters(the pliers type) a sheet metal scribe, a jig saw with sheet metle blade or a angle grinder , all will do the job but i prefer the angle grinder i made my self a five foot bat wing for my 1000 watt hps with one and it done a great job but remember to cut on the outside of your measurment:stoned:
