ouch, I didn't know you could get arthritis of the ankles, so sorry about that man

but anyway, I have inflamatory pain in my low back, upper-mid back, and neck, and I wouldn't be surprised if at least one of those injuries is arthritic considering I haven't healed after 4 years. But anywhoo, I find weed significantly relieves the pain in my neck, alleviates the pain going down my arms and legs 100%, partially helps the pain in my upper back, and doesn't help at all for my lower back. My point being, it seems to be more affective in some areas than others, so maybe it's just that way with all people.
have you ever seen a massage therapist? just an idea, they can really alleviate a lot of pain.

I'm very sorry to hear about your ailment. I suffer from gout myself, and I understand the the pain I get is similar to arthritis. One thing that smoking can't fix is the swelling, so that is always going to be a problem unless you have some sort of anti-inflammatory medicine.
In my personal case, the persistent back pain I suffer from, along with horrible chronic pain in my feet, do benefit from mj. More than anything, it helps ease stress, and allows me to relax, which is something I struggle with.
Speak to your doctor about your arthritis and the pain. Perhaps you could get on some sort of anti-inflammatory medicine that could help.
Best of luck to you!

thats good solid truth, I guess weed would releave pain in different ways in differnt areas of the body for different people. I wish it helped my ankles, but sorry for bitching you sound like you experience more pain then me.

I do have a perscribbed anti-inflamatory. but I can only take it every now and then, cause it conflicts with other medications I'm on. it sucks that i can't really use good anti-imflamatories..so i grit and bear through the pain.

Hey man don't be sorry, chronic pain is fucking tiresome and stressfull no matter if it's foot pain, or back pain, or cancer, or whatever. it's not fair for anybody to have to deal with it.

I haven't really had the opportunity to try out medical marijuana grown for pain, but I do know that the thc content is much higher than street-grades,so you'd think that it works more effectively for pain relief.
I do know one thing for sure--chronic pain sucks ! I hope and pray, that yer pain eases.
Have a good one !

My foot pain occurred four and a half years ago.
I've undergone tests and experimental epileptic drugs, still the doctors couldn't pinpoint where the pain was coming from. I had an MRI done on the brain and it came up inconclusive (I had Brain Trauma seven years prior).
So, the pain, at it's most center-point, is right on the outer side of the top of my left foot to my ankle. It's not bone or nerve damage, it's the result of my Brain being jolted after a T.B.I. Once that happens, your hippocampus steps-up production 2600%. But, that's another story. But, they told me, long ago, if I ever was in a serious car accident, again, that I'd be more susceptible to injury (because of the T.B.I.). And what do you know, a Chevy Venture Van broadsides me, in a Chevy Cavalier, trying to get across eight lanes of rush-hour traffic in order to get to the other Supermarket's parking lot.
So, it's like Arthritis.
A deep bone pain. I smoke high-grade herb. I wake up and before I step out of bed, the pain sets in. Usually, in a couple of hours, the pain shifts to a numbing feeling that seems like millions of blood cells are comforting every molecule of pain. I've only had one-hit today and, already, the resonating effects of the pain (which stem to my knee) have been deafened.
Only one way to find out, in your case.
Smoke more weed!

Hey guys, if you haven't tried it, find an experienced foot reflexologist. I use one at least once every two weeks. The relief from pain that I get from an hour session is unbelievable!!!! I have used foot reflexology for about seven or eight years, and I swear by it.
In addition to the relief from foot pain, you also get some help with headaches, and some people who have chronic digestive problems say it helps a bit to alleviate their cramps. I worked with a lady who said she was always having horrible intestinal cramps, and she tried my reflexologist and said it was like night and day. She still uses my therapist and it's been five years since her first visit. Much, much, much more enjoyable and less problematic than medicines.
One thing, be sure to get an experienced, licensed reflexologist. Most massage therapists say they do reflexology as well, but it's a totally different skill. A good reflexologist can tell you what ails you just by manipulating your feet. If you aren't satisfied with your first experience, try someone else until you find one that works well for you. I swear it works wonders for me.
Hope this helps.
