If all you need is a glass sheld then clear double strength window glass is fine. It's cheap and easy to find. Single strenghth will work but it breaks easy if you smack it while its hot.

HD sells and cuts galss as well. Some even have double strength glass too.
Zandor Reviewed by Zandor on . Is there an alternative for Tempered Glass Growlight lenses? I'm having a hell of a time finding the lens for a Grow Max jr 250 watt hps. I went to the Glass shops locally and there telling me 50-75 dollars for a lens that cost 15 with the unit. The specs are 13.5x14.5 I think(I cut out a cardboard facsimile and brought it around and that's what it measured). I can't find the manufacturer anywhere or I'd try and get a lens throught them. any ideas? Rating: 5
