I saw the last half of that show. It was very interesting and a bit scary. A lot of very interesting correlations. I'm not sure I believe all of the conspiracy buffs but it does reinforce my belief that the US government has been (and is becoming more and more) corrupt. It also reinforced my belief that the real power does not lie in the 3 branches of government any more but rather in the behind the scenes doings of the Roves, Wolfowitz's, Rumsfelds, etc etc.
Our "freedoms" are elusive at best and illusionary at worst.
And I still hate people. (most of them anyway)

Shouldn't you think twice before believing whats on programs like the History channel? I mean if it were anything important or elusive to the government in anyway interesting to us, they wouldn't let the channel show it in the first place...right?

Who me? I don't believe anything anyone says on TV or in the press in any way. All I said was that there were some interesting correlations. I don't know exactly when I quit believing in our current system of government but it was based on a lot of things that I have read, heard or seen first hand over the years. Mind you I still believe in our nation and the ideals put forth by our founders and the constitution. But I also truly believe the our government is so far removed from those ideals that it has become a bit of a farce (albeit a well armed and financed farce) and is rapidly collapsing under it's own weight. The two dominant political parties (democans and republicrats) have become almost indistinguishable not in their rhetoric but rather in their actions and the results of those actions.

Yeah man I totally agree with that.I just always found it weird that shows would show conspiracy theories on national TV and expect people to think they were anywhere near controversial.Like programs on JFK assasination and Roswell, New Mexico. They control what we watch, so they wouldn't put anything on that could be a potential threat of making them look like a bunch of scum bags.

Then there's the other side of the coin that says to let them broadcast all of the conspiracy theories they want to since they are rarely ever provable with hard evidence and many, (in fact, most) come off sounding like loons no matter how much evidence (most of it circumstantial) they can muster. And it works. Even though there is some very provocative evidence about Kennedy and Roswell, etc...so many screwball theories come out of the woodwork that they discredit any genuine evidence that is out there. More often than not the folks who are attempting to support these theories are about as nutty as they come.
One of the best examples I can come up with is Whitley Strieber. He originally claimed he had been abducted by aliens and probed and prodded but now he just says, something happened. The poor man is noticably disturbed.
