On the young girl case, Alito claimed that "Drug dealers know we can't search the kids, so that's where they hide the drugs". True, but it doesn't make it legal.

On the fight case, Alito claimed that, as long as the police were in the house, they could have done what they wanted. I think it was either that or he claimed the officer thought the guests were intoxicated (which they weren't) so he went searching for drugs.
Well, I can't say I really know enough about the decisions to make up my own opinion, but it sounds a little oversimplified. You may be completely right, I just don't know. I'll have to do a little more research before I make up my mind.
jay42 Reviewed by jay42 on . Alito Confirmed. Judge Samuel Alito was today confirmed as a Supreme Court Justice. Why am I bothering to post this in a thread? Because Samuel Alito is a drug-war Nazi. He ruled in favor of the police in a case where the police raided a drug dealer's house, and they strip searched an 8 year old girl and the drug dealer's wife. He also ruled in favor of the police in a case where, upon seeing a fight take place through an open window, a patroling officer not only arrested the fighting individuals, Rating: 5
