I just cant get to sleep. That is my main problem. Other than that, I usually feel perfectly fine, if not better when I go more than 2 days w/out smoking.

Marijuana ingestion has minimal sleep disruption with slightly reduced REM sleep acutely, however chronic intake causes long-term slow wave sleep suppression.

Alcohol -Acute ingestion of alcohol even in low doses causes changes in sleep. When blood alcohol levels < 10 mg/dl â?? increased total sleep time and reduced awake activity.

    good info dude

but thats says "Marijuana reduces REM sleep slightly in the short term, therefore reduces sleep disruption" if it reduces the amount of time you are in REM, it is disrupting your sleep....not reducing sleep disruption. know what i mean?? And if your REM period is disturbed every night then that could cause problems.

But yeah, i got into the habit of smoking before I go to sleep every single night, Im going to stop this before it becomes a problem....to be honest i thought it was helping me sleep....but i do feel tired every morning....

Yeah, but REM occurs more often later in a night of sleep. So, wouldn't the effects have (mostly) worn off by the time most of the REM sleep happens?

m an i dunno if this is physical but i know when i just quit tokin i get REM rebound...my dreams for about 3 or 4 days are so fucking vivid, its kind of cool, sometimes i quit just to experience them. i like to write everythinbg down as soon as i wake up from dreaming, it makes for cool storys to read later on whilst blitzed!
