i've collected seeds for about 6 months now, and i'm going to go ahead and germinate a few. what i want to know though is can i start growing them in like a cup or something small in a window seal? and then move them to a pot once they get bigger? I know there's a lot involved with growing, but i assumed that was if you want the best yeild and most potent crop. if i am able to grow the plants that easy will they even be any good? thanks

You need to have more equipment b4 you plant them. Get some lights, nutes, pots, and fans.

Depending on where you live the amount of light right now may not be enough to allow the plants to grow vegetatively. You could add extra light at night but, again, you need more equipment.

You've got nothing to lose by just popping a few seeds and seeing how they get on!

The daylight hours are a bit short at this time of year [young plants like more than just 12 hours of light] but you can compensate by leaving a lamp near them for a few more hours after dark.

But they will be all stretchy and gay under a household lamp but who cares if it's just a little fun grow! You can grow some weed but it won't be very much or very potent but fuk it!

When I was about 13 I took a seed out of my baggie and germed it in some tissue and planted it in a pot I pinched from an alotment and took some soil from someones veg patch home in a "doggy bag"...It grow up under a 25 watt fluoro from an old aquarium...
But it died coz I tried to increase the CO2 by blowing smoke over it from a few pages it burned from the back of a school book! You will no dought want togrow some proper weed after your first attempt so why not just save the time and buy some basic shit....You could even try doing both alongside each other
