There is LSD-25 in Hoffman's method, and there is a cheaper, more efficient way to make it that produces a speedier feeling. This was discovered shortly after Hoffman developed the chemical fully. However, if you were told it was LSD-24 you were told wrong... It is just another way of making it that is somehow less pure. Hoffman himself noted that all besides LSD-25 were useless.

Which brings up the discussion of "has LSD-25 been available since the day Hoffman made it?" Some people doubt this 'better' synthesis method and believe that it does not simply remove or include a certain something that changes the trip feeling, but instead is a whole new chemical. But that's more threadjacking that I am already doing... I apologize.
