    anyone from missouri?

hey what's goin on-- everyone aware of legislation in Colo and Nevada this Nov? pretty big stuff. If the Nevada proposition passes, the state will be made to contract growers, then distribute and tax the hell out of up to 1 oz bags of weed. The measure came close in Nov 2002 but in the last few weeks before the vote fed drug czar came to town, and spent lots of taxpayer $$$ campaigning against it. The case went all the way to the Nevada supreme court, where the ruling agreed w/ our side. The feds cannot do that. So anyway, keep an eye out and do what you can.
If anyone here is old enough to remember the early 80s; state lotteries were the same kinda deal. All the self righteous were saying that if the govt sponsored gambling, we would all be betting the deeds to our houses, we would all be homeless and shit. They said at the least prostitution would reign supreme and our society would basically immediately crumble.
Well, that didn't happen. What DID happen was a few states had the testicular fortitude to try it and guess what? tens of millions of new revenue dollars were brought in, citizens for the most part had the self control to make the choice of how often they wanted to gamble without destroying their families, and (sadly) the ladies of the evening didn't start combing the streets like the night of the living dead creatures. That would be COOL.
Amazingly, soon after all the states started their own lotteries. I can really see that being the case here. The Nevada issue estimates that between $20 and $30 million dollars a year would be brought in by this law, and that's new revenue, not money borrowed from some other govt agency. PEACE:rasta:

I'm from KC and Ive heard nothing about a medical marijuana bill. If you have any information or want to actually get something started let me know. I'm all about making it legal, people need to realize that what the govt tells them isnt always true!
