    Canadian Conservative Views on weed

ok the represent from my area in ontario said he was for decriminlizing it because "its not fair for you kids to go to jail for a couple of buds or a few dubs" the exact words of Gary Goodyear. he said he was gonna talk to the rest of the conservative party for getting it decriminlized

the conservative party is mostly against it, but NDP wants it decrimilized as well and the green party wants it completely legal.

all we need after that is legal coke and canada is the best country

    conservative, liberal, it doesnt matter

i live in calgary, and have voted in both of the past 2 elections. the liberal government has been promising for at least 10 years to decriminalize pot, but since the country's economy is so entrenched in what the americans do, they never have and never will. i remember when the bill was introduced a couple years ago, it was originally decriminalization of 30 grams, 30 FUCKING GRAMS.

turns out, the US about shit themselves when they heard about this and told us theyd lock down the border and shit like that to make sure no trafficking occured. besides, if we did legalize or decriminalize pot, the US would be conducting 'shock and awe' missions inside our country to conduct themselves a few pre-emptive decapitations or whatever on our drug growers and traffickers.

and whoever said that this is a good turn for Canada, fuck that. Canada has been moving in the right direction for many years, leftist/socialist policies seem to work way better than conservative, war on everyone we can find policies

but yea, conservative party is definitely against pot.

NDP? green party? it doesnt matter what they think either lol. liberals and conservatives, thats all it will be. NDP and green party are like the independents in the US, they get 3 real votes and 50 million forged signatures (ralph nader anyone?)

we need a trial separation from the US.... or something. we need to stop giving our citizens up to the americans for selling seeds. pfsh.

well, the debate actually did bring this issue up. and Harper's response wasn't one a pothead would want to hear...I'm pretty confident that Layton will keep the MJ fight alive though...I highly (no pun intended) doubt Canada will start throwing sick medical marijuana users in jail just because Harper wants to.

and they now have more seats than ever, at 29, up from 18 last time, so they'll definately have some power which is great considering they want full legalization.

anywhoo, here's the conservative party website's explanation on their stance on drugs, which included their marijuana platform.
