Judging by the fact that you've dodged home life questions I'm guessing your family really isn't all that bad. Same suburban bullshit every other kid you know is going through. Running away is the WORST thing you could do at 16. Not only will the plan likely fall through, but there are alot of people who will jump at the chance to take advantage of a naive teenager.

Plus there's always serial killers, boy rapists, mother nature, disease, and/or the law to worry about.

If you really want to run away no amount of persuading will stop you.
But HEY, if you wanna wake up in some guy's rape shack with a ball gag in your mouth and a gun shoved up your ass, then by all means, go right ahead.
