2nd Amendment Special
I grew up in Illinois and it was where I learned to shoot. Rod the prod and Daley (who is as crooked as the day is long) will not likely get away with this one. Illinois has the FOID for as long as I can remember (I know, I'm an old stoner so take that line for what's it's worth) and it has never been a problem and in fact, was a good idea. All it does is ID's you as a registered firearms owner. Nothing less nothing more. The Daley's have owned Chicago forever and are as crooked as all getout. There was a time when you could not take a shit in Chicago without their permission. But it's a whole different world in the rest of the state. Agricultural for the most part and although too flat for hunting with high powered rifles, almost every farmer has one or two along with a shotgun or four. They'd have to use the national guard and lose a lot of folks in the process to collect all those guns so yes, it is just a stupid ploy to suck up to the anti gun fools. Minnesota has the same kind of law here for handguns. All legal handgun owners are registered at the county (and maybe the state) level.
