    ok, so the thread might not be going in the direction that i had thought it would, but it's interesting to me at least...

    canadabis... have you ever read Hagakure? i just started it and its a lot easier to comprehend than the art of war, but its still just as deep and true...

    man, you would have been a welcome member on the scout teams... good conversations were sanity savers when we were stuck near the top of the mountain while training in the mojave... we'd be sitting there waiting for the guns to go hot, and we'd talk about some thick stuff...

    i like your quote about victory and defeat, but i'm fallin asleep at the keyboard...
