But crying from Gattaca?? I donâ??t know about that. Yeah Jude kills himself in the end but still on a scale of 1 to 10 on the cry-O-meter I would say maybe a 3 at most.

Andrew Niccol also was involved in two other movies I really liked - He wrote "The Truman Show" and "The Terminal" both of whice were directed by Spielburg.

Well jude law dying was aprt of it, and the tearing was a combination of the futile beauty of absurdity, it was a combination really. the doctor scene at the end makes the movie I think. Without that piece none of the other pieces could be viewed as the true fragile humanity it is meant to portray.
But then again beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I like to like things. ^^
