HPS 600W VS HPS 1000W

I am finding out that growing babies is like playing golf. There are 25 positions that must be maintaned for a perfect golf swing. Also, there are a million, ( more or less), things to maintane a perfect grow. But,,, fuck up just one little thing,,,, all bets are off. But hey,, we're to have fun ,, right? During my first grow, I had thrips, burned bud tips, lost a heater, got mold. Ended up with 4oz. (6 plants). This grow,,,, I am shooting for a max yield. Should get my 1/4 oz from each of my 6 babies. Lived and learned. As much as I would love to tell you how much you will yield,,, I dont truely know if any one can tell you that. But yes,, 400w will do them babies better than 250w, 600w will do better than 400w, and 1000w will do better than all of em. Happy grow.

This is my first indoor experience.

I've been growing outside for several years with lots of success. This year (last summer) I finally reached my goal of 1 pound per plant.

To be honest, the more I speak with you guys and the more I'm thinking of sticking with growing outdoor. Less trouble with WAY MORE results!!

Yea, if you like only harvesting once a year and have lots of land.

I use 1000w because I have them but if I were starting from scratch again I would buy the 600w digital ballasts that can run Mh and HPS bulbs. Yes 1000w have more lumens but with the extra heat they put off you loose some of that benefit keeping the light farther away. With 600w you get less heat so you can get them closer to the plants and have just about as much light covering more of the plant area.

No, this is the only board where I post. I posted lots of pics in the outdoor folder this summer so it might be where you saw them.
