it's alarming. I've been using those ph strips to test my ph and I was reading 6.7 but today I got a ph pen in the mail and my water tested out at 7.62.

yep it came calibrated from the factory and I also calibrated it myself cause I didn't really trust the numbers. The ph strips I was using were quite old but I didn't think that would effect how they work. The water that comes right out of the tap (with a filter attached to the tap) is about 7.6 and after running it through a fresh brita it dropped to 6.8. I guess the inline filter needs to be replaced.
