Ok, I haven't done it yet, but...

Meijers water... no idea what that is.

If you can get a RO (Reverse Osmosis) filter, that'd be best... although it isn't a "must".

As to making the nutrient mix...
You should get your container (say, 5 gallons?)... fill it up with water, and mix in the nutrients in the order specified in the directions... General Hydroponics nutrients have a specific mixing order... if you don't follow it, something called "nutrient lock-out" can/will occur.

Do you have meters? TDS, ppm, EC, pH meter(s)?
