My preference is to heat it / break it into a cigarette.. it's a very very pleasant smoke and smells nothing like weed, helping avoid suspicion. I've smoked in public a few times doing that. To better answer the original question (aside from giving THC percentages), I would say that 3g of high grade weed would equal 1g of high grade hash. However, this is highly subjective and depends entirely on what you are comparing.
