I see what youre trying to say (hehe wheat is murder) but the purpose to which it is burnt is a lot different to the purpose to which it is eaten. We eat to survive, animals, plants etc, this is natural but to torture something in such a way isnt very charactoristic of nature just because it's more efficient and costs less to do so. Im still going to eat meat but it doesnt mean I agree with how they kill animals. We are the only species in the world (humans) that has the awareness to defy our instincts and exist in whatever we want to do. This is why we should take more responsibility for our actions (not personally). Why cause something more pain than it needs to save money or are you that capitalistic .

I feel I need to elaborate more on what I said in the last post about the percentage of wheat n' shit being used to feed livestock.
If everyone ate only plants, 100% of wheat would go directly to feeding us; therefore, the fact that presently cows eat the largest amount of wheat is IRRELEVENT.

Yeah thatâ??s a nice try but again the amount of people that could be fed by the crops that the animals eat is something like 10 to 1. It really, really a huge difference so this argument also is completely false.

Again I'm not going after you, just trying to show you how all these really old arguments have been proven wrong a long time ago.

Just about the only place where eating animals made since was when people moved to climates where crops and food were not available during the winter months. Of course in our modern society this is totally not the case anymore.

Please donâ??t kid yourself, if all the crops that are grown to feed animals were instead used to feed people directly, we could pretty much wipe out starvation in Africa and everywhere else in a very short period of time. Like a year or two.

Hey man I'm not after you or anyone when it come to this topic. You just have to understand the big picture and that site is totally ridicules because it is so short sided by the fact that they donâ??t even mention the fact that most of those crops are being raised for livestock.

I read something where it talks about the amount of fresh water it takes to produce different kinds of food. Don't quote me because I donâ??t remember the exact numbers but it was something like this-

10 pound sack of apples = 20 gallons

1 loaf of wheat bread = 75 gallons

1 ounce beef steak = 2,000 gallons!!!

Thatâ??s because of the enormous amount of food it takes to raise a cow.
