And yeah the 1950s under the desk thing is so funny!! Our government loves to scare us into agreeing with extreme measures. Remember the plastic sheeting and duct tape of 9-11?!?! LOL Its amazing people actually went out and bought that stuff.
Hitler had a couple of good ideas too. PETA has been overtaken by lunatics who are as fanatical and jihadist as Al Queda, the so called reverend Fred Phelps, anti smoking health nazi's, the Southern Baptist Council, Dubya, etc etc...they are looking to shock everyone in to believing that meat is bad and have no qualms about any of the loons who take action in their name. They are of the belief that they are right and anyone who does not agree with them is crazy, brainwashed or just plain evil. They are more than entitled to their opinion (and is does provide a certain degree of entertainment from time to time) However their huge self importance has convinced them that they are right. This always happens with organizations like this who start out with good intentions but soon become drunk on power and money. In fairness, the animal rights folks have done some good in improving conditions for animals, improving methods of killing and processing them, etc. They have also made great contributions to the health and well being of pets and helped to increase penalties for those who wantonly abuse animals. All good things.
