ok? so what's your point. Now put a dog or cow or a whale or any animal for that matter in that same situation. a "mentally handicap" animal.. would not function in the wild. In fact, in most cases either be eaten by the mother or left for dead. There was a day.. when humans did this also.. when unfortunate souls were born with developement problems and often outcast or even left for dead...

So what are we proving here? Humans > Animals.. always have, always will...

It kind of makes me sad to see how humanity treats things. But then again we'd have a great deal of over population/and that would cause a big problem in the world. I've been thinking of being a vegan...because one of my good friends is a health freak vegan, but I don't know. I really like food....And meat.......damn why am I faced with these descions today....aw to hell with it.... :rasta:

man, i live in oklahoma and grew up around farms, and whatnot, and im a meat eater, but most slaughter houses are clean and those in the video, which looked like the same throughout it were pretty much just assholes, most animals are killed humanely.

BaseRSX, his point was that fractionally, not eating meat makes little difference to the amount of water we consumed. YOU KNEW THAT, yet you chose to make that post in biased.

I'm done arguing with this, so I will make one last list of points.

1) Eating animals is cruel to animals.
--I personally believe this video was made by a terrorist group named peta, but even if this wasn't, I'm willing to bet 100 bucks that MOST SLAUGHTERHOUSES ARE MORE HUMANE THAN BEING HUMAN. You do nothing your whole life, get all the food you want, then when you're at your prime, you get killed painlessly and don't have to suffer through old age.
2) Producing meat consumes way more water.
--First of all, who gives a shit? We'll ALWAYS have the same amount of water. Second, compared to all the water we normally consume, not eating meat affects the total number microscopically.
3)It's healthier to not eat meat.
--That is total bullshit and I refuse to even acknowledge that as a point by making a counterpoint.
4)Eating plants is less guilty.
--Eating wheat tortures more animals due to all the field mice n' rabbits that get their tiny bodies mangled up in machines and are left to rot.

If you eat only plants for specific health or religious reasons, I don't give a fuck; but if you think you are less guilty of cruelty to animals by eating plants, you are dead wrong.

Ahh you donâ??t have to start out vegan. That is a HUGE step for a meat eater to take!

Just try giving up mammals for a few months. Just eat chicken and fish, etc. This will be tuff enough. Then after you are cool with that, just stop eating meat all together and still eat dairy. Then try going no dairy. That is they way I did it.

I mean do what ever works for you. I donâ??t even believe in the labels â??vegetarianâ?�, â??veganâ?� etc. Your diet is no one elseâ??s business. If you want to not eat meat for a month and the gorge yourself on it for one weekend that fine. You are not joining a club. You are not doing anything that anyone else should give a shit about. I have not eaten meat in 15 years but that has nothing to do with wanting to use the label â??vegetarianâ?�. I could go get a burger right now if I wanted to and it would not be anyone elseâ??s business! Of course I never would but you see my point.
