you mean Mh not Mv im assuming and fl you mean flourescents or cfls i read on here that its about .5g for ever 4w of energy with mh bulbs but i could be wrong and as for cfls im currently aiming for 1/2-1 ounce per plant witha 3 foot growspace 3'3'3' i'd try to fit in there about 9 female clones and go for ballpark 7 to 10 ounces..always expect less then what you need and plan ahead

well to be honest i was just gonna try 2 northern lights and im starting from beans i figured it would be good to get me started my first time. the bulb i have is a mv not a mh so i guess i better with the fls then? so you figure 200w of fls. for 2 plants in that size box?

flouresents are the long tubes they'd work nicely the compact flouresents would be good as well and give you better light exposure with a cheap reflector on top also cfls cant beat the electrical values 24/0 first 2 weeks then go for 18/6 next couple or jus keep it 24/0 through entire veging time.. easy way to keep ur humidity up would be misting them regularly other then that good soil and tempts and u have the ingredients to a healthy plant for now keep us updated

You can put them between some damp cotton wool/kitchen paper, but Ive read that you can also germinate them in soil with the same chance of success. Ive actually got a question about germinating in soil - how long after youve planted the seed do you need a light on the soil? Because obviously the seed wont germ if theres light, so Im guessing you just let gravity do its work and wait until it sprouts out?

roots see light as soon as you can see roots so once seeds pop an u see the tap root gently transfer it to some soil or its growing medium rockwool ect.. make sure to put them seed facing up and in a moist enough medium and they'll take care of the rest
