1. take firm grip at base of stem...turn pot almost upside down and 'Pop' out

2. Nice white healthy roots...notice lava rock, caught up in roots...I try to remove lava rocks, but DO NOT tear up your roots in order to do so.

3. place rootball and plant in new hole you made with your 1/2g pots...

4. Once in place, I take a knife and poke it sideways into rootball to break a few roots and promote new root growth...some people scrape their rootballs with a garden fork or somrthing to break up roots.
