    Bloody problems!!

right, the leaves at the top of the plant are curling up around the side & some are slightly burnt (pic 1 & 2), i don't think it's the temp because it very rarely goes above 26 C but further down the plant the leaves don't curl up (pic 3)
sorry, you can't see it as well as i'd like to have shown you but its the best i could do.
i'd be greatful for some advise.

oh yeah, also i now have fucking flies!! because the plant's just started to show it's sex & it stinks. any ideas on how to get rid of them, they seem a bit sketchy so their easy to kill WHEN YOU CAN FIND THEM!!
for the moment i've just got some really sticky sirup in a cup & that seems to have got a few.

    Bloody problems!!

i think the leaf curling was under watering, because i watered it yesterday & now the leaves seem alot smoother(if you get what i mean) but still, any ideas about the flies?

Check the Ph of the soil or what ever grow medium you are using. I doubt it's under watering.

    Not underwatering

Yes, you better check your PH..
It looks like your new growth is doing well... but the plant is necrotic in the middle..
    correct?

There are probably a few nutrients the plant is not getting because the PH is whack
My guess it is an MG deficiancy... but adding more MG will porbably not help your plant... it is the whacked PH that wont allow your baby to absorb proper nutrients

    love

If possible show pic of entire plant..

    Bloody problems!!

    Hi

I have found the curling of my leaves have been due to lights being to close to the top of plants, hence why it dont happen further down. Try moving ur light up a tad,see if it fixes it. Peace :rasta:

    Bloody problems!!

i was reading a thing on nutrient defficency last night & i thought it was magnesium. i don't think it's the light cos it's like 6" away. the PH of the water is always 6.5, i have no idea about the PH of the soil. would i be better off getting a PH pen? i've got an old school digi thing, you fill the tube with water & stick it in this thing & it reads the PH.
    anyway heres the pics
oh yeah the tips of the leaves are really brittle

    your new growth looks GREAT...
    Is the problem getting worse?
    Has the problem stop spreading?

It is not to hot, nor is it overwatering from the looks of your plants

    Bloody problems!!

My plants at times do the same exact thing. My PH is perfect (6.2) and my nutes are at 1000 PPM and are optimally balanced. This condition has not affected my yeilds in the past as plants with this condition produce about the same amount as plants without this condition. I notice that the plants that develope this are always closest to the 1000 Watt bulb I'm using. Are these flies fungus gnats? Tiny fruit flies, or are you talking about house flies?

thanks garden knowm. the problem doesn't SEEM to be spreading but i may be wrong.

thats good news for me herbus, chhers . their just little house flies. but i think i got lucky, cos the spiders in my attic seem to have killed them all off & they're not living on the plant.
