    Harvest/Yield ??'s

    Ok
This may be a stupid question...

Is it possible to lose overall yield by letting a plant flower too long?????

I know THC degrades and brakes down into canniboids (CBDs)

    But back to my question.....

Will the mass on the flowers decrease as well????

    Experts....
This is never talked about also but what if you would let your plant flower for weeks on end. like 15 or 20. Just hypothetically, I would never, but just for the sake of knowing......What would it look like??

No, you won't lose yeild from flowering too long, but you will lose potency big time. At the end of its life (harvesting), the THC will begin to break down. No, the mass shouldn't decrease, I don't see why it would. Where would all that mass go...

What it would look like, is yellow, the leaves, they will probably yellow up, crisp and die...as well as with the buds. You let them sit too long, and they will yellow up, dry up and die.

    Peace

    Oh ya, don't do it

Beside the degrade in THC you can also loose some weight due to the fact the bud will dry out and fall off on it's own at some point.

Also the plant will eat it's self from the outside in trying to stay alive (so to speak) and that can reduce the overall weight too.

Do you the degrade is the Trichomes would dry out and reduce weight too? Maybe?

I think your all your input sounds logical

As far as losing potency "big time"

Lets say a certain strain flowers for 8 1/2 9 weeks. At 10 weeks will you lose a ton of potency?? or 11?
    How long is that window??

And also, do you think that maximum mass is at the point of maximum ripeness???

    Another thought about trichomes....

When scoping the trichs before harvest everyone looks at the trichs on the outside of the bud ( because those are the ones you can see )

But are the trichs on the inside of the bud just as far along as the ones on the outside???

    or more, or less??

We're doing some serious learning here now

Yes they are and you should look at many points on the plant high and low that will give you the average you are looking for.

As for trichomes inside the flower it's not practacle to view those you would damage them just trying to view them. Not a good idea.
