i've told her things along the lines of "this is expensive, i cant do this every day, i'm broke,"

mrdevious, that sounds a lot like my roomie. she just keeps begging, even if i've already said no, like i owe it to her. and i always feel bad if i say no.

i'd ask her to kick some in, but she doesnt have a connection of her own. she doesnt buy weed, she just smokes it. she usually knows when i'm going out to buy bud, so she has plenty of opportunity to say "here's $20, do you mind getting me some" or whatever. but she never does.

it's very frustrating.

hmm, this seems to be one of the best suggestions so far -- in addition to the smoker's ettiquette page, thanks for the link ScarlettCrush. i dont know that the website will help much, as my roommate is not new to pot smoking at all, i think she's just perfected her mooching technique.. heh. but "if you pitch in a few bucks i can smoke you out" seems like a good way to go about this without being rude. all this "tell her to give you a blowjob" and "kick her in the face" stuff doesnt exactly mesh well with trying to coexist with someone peacefully.
