Have a Coors!
Hey folks. I live just outside Denver, in Golden. The home of Coors beer. I don't like the beer, but at least it is a place people have heard of because of the television ads. It really is a cool town.
I hadn't smoked for 20 years, but decided to start again recently when I was up at the ski hill and caught a whiff of some kids off in the trees. Its hard to find when you've been out of it for a while! None of my friends smoke, so I had to look elsewhere. I tried all the "seedy" parts of Denver and Boulder I could think of to try to buy some off the street. I guess I look like a cop, because nobody would sell to me.
I am not much of a concert person, but I went to a bluegrass concert and asked everyone who looked even remotely like they would know where to score. I felt like a 12 year old again! That sucked. I managed to find some dudes who I had met at a ski shop. They hooked me up with a few hits. Was it sweet!
I still didn't have a bag of my own. Bummer. I had to hang with them for about a month before I could convince them to sell me some. After trying to get a 1/2, I wound up with only an 1/8th. Better than nothing. Right? Kept trying to score some more, and they kept saying they were dry. Sure they were. Maybe I came on too strong?
Anyway these dudes were kids in their early 20's. I tried keeping up with them for a while, but I just can't stay out all night drinking like I used to. Staying up until midnight is a stretch for me. Everytime I went out with these guys they would just be getting started when it would come time for me to split. 2 am seems like a good time to go home?
In the old days, the only way to hook up was through friends. Now all my friends have jobs and kids. They have less idea where to score than I do. It would be nice to hook up with some laid back older folks. I am sure, that if I give it time it'll happen.
Back to the bud... So, I thought the net might be a good place to look. I did some searching and found this site and a few others. I've been following them for about a month. I've learned a lot! I am not the only "older dude" who smokes. I wonder how many others are "professionals"?
I was encouraged when I came across DD's site. <sigh> We all know what happened to that! What a racket. Lost a bundle. Boy was I dumb. I've got a few smaller MOM order in. I am pretty sure they can't all be scams. A couple look promising. (Naming names is uncool, so I'm not gona do it.) I should know in a few days if they all ripped me off. At least one was a scam, but two others look much more promising. We'll see.
Well, that's my story. If your still reading, thanks for sticking with me. Not really looking for anything. Just wanted to give an introduction. Hope to meet more nice people on here. Maybe even a local hook-up some day.
