Most likely Fired :(
I went into work today like normal and about 10 minutes after being there my main boss came in and took me out to teh dining room and sat down. He had a paper with him with a write-up on it. It said i was being suspeneded from work for 24 hours for an ongoing investigation of "distributing over-the-counter substances/controlled substances at work.
I did not do any such thing the worst i've done was buy hydrocodene from someone but I didn't sell it or distribute it. He said i have to call back tomorrow to find out the "outcome" so in other words i'm pretty much fired. This will ruin my chance at getting any job in the future most likely for getting fired for such a thing? I didn't deny it when he showed me the paper and had me sign it because i was in such shock. I plan on denying everything tomorrow but little good i think it will do. I don't think they have any proof of it whatsoever besides maybe an assistant manager or someone hearing about it through someone else. What do you guys think do i have a chance at not getting fired or am i fired for sure? And if i am fired for this will it be impossible for me to get another job. This sucks i'm only 16 and not being able to get another job woudl suck.

I think you will probably get fired.. they could even file a lawsuit I think if they wanted. You can get another job again, but it might be easier to consider investing or entrepreneur-ship where you can be your own boss.

What is/was your job? And yeah you probably shouldn't have signed something that you didn't agree with... i mean if you didn't do it. I wouldn't worry *too* much about not being able to find another job. I'd ask for a reference... and if you don't get a good one then just don't list that job on future applications. I heard it's illegal to withhold that sort of information... but I got fired once, for no particular reason, so i'm just never putting in on my apps. again....
it could be worse.. my one friend who flunked out of college just got fired from his 2nd after-college job for failing a drug test for the SECOND time. so he's a college drop out, fired for pos. drug test... . you're only 16 you have your whole life ahead of you, chin up!

why did you sign that paper.that was bad move.you should talk to the investigator yourself.

I don't think there is an investigator just the main district boss is "investigating" it.

In your own interest, friendowl is right. Stand before them and deny everything. Or choose to accept the consequenses, since you did screw up.
Don't underestimate the power of 'NO'.

Deny it. Contest it, if you have that recourse. Ask to know who the person was who accused you of selling something. And ask to know who the person was who you allegedly sold something to.
Then, just don't put them down as a job reference on the next application you fill out.
