use a drill or drill press on th LOWEST speed possible using a glass bit. The reason they don't make special bits for drilling through glass for dremels is because dremels don't go slow enough to use a glass bit. It needs to be at about 500rpm or you risk heating and shattering the glass or cracking it. You can use a grinding bit on a dremel that takes too long and messes up the bits.

Its about 4 feet tall, has a very long slender neck (about 1.5 inches wide) that takes up most of the length, then at the last 8 inches it opens up into a perfectly round base about 8 inches in diameter.. Its smooth thick jungle green glass and heres the best part: i got it for $2 at a garage sale...
