The screwdriver and electrical tape way? you just get your glass bottle and rap it up really tight in electriacal tape(this helps prevent spider cracking)

then you cut out a circle of the tape where you want the stem or downtube to go (can only be one hole in the bottle, weakened glass cant handle 2 holes)

then put the bottle in a towel in your lap and then start to stab the bottle with a pointy screw driver with moderate force, youll start to see little white cracks after a minute or 2 and eventually a little hole will pop through in the glass. Then just chip away at the hole until its the right size.

once you carefully peel off the tape there shouldnt be to many cracks coming from the main hole but if there is its not to bad it will still work. rinse the bottle well to get rid of all glass particles and seal it all up with a hot glue gun or silly puddy or any of that type of stuff

ive only had probably 3 out of atleast 50 bottles break while i was making the holes for normal bongs and pissers. The thin fruit juice bottles work really good i find, but this way doesnt compare to a diamond drill bit and a drill press

hope this brings someones homemade bong making to the next level

    peace

make sure to run water over where you're drilling constantly, not a rapid flow, a light stream should work(glass gets to hot and breaks if you don't)

use a drill or drill press on th LOWEST speed possible using a glass bit. The reason they don't make special bits for drilling through glass for dremels is because dremels don't go slow enough to use a glass bit. It needs to be at about 500rpm or you risk heating and shattering the glass or cracking it. You can use a grinding bit on a dremel that takes too long and messes up the bits.

Its smooth thick jungle green glass and heres the best part: i got it for $2 at a garage sale...

I want to turn it into a bong

Since it was not made for that purpose, it only has one hole, and thats the opening at the top... I need to make 2 more, nice, clean, smooth holes in it at the base for a bowl and a carb.

So heres my question: How can i do this? Ive been told to use a high speed drill with a special glass bit, but i dont have either of those... Is there another way? i want it to be fool proof because i will go on a phychotic killing spree if it breaks; its such an amazing find.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated..
buy a glass cutting bit, and make sure your put tape over the shots you are drilling through... or you're gonna crack and shatter the glass, beleive me

I really want to try this as well, I just had the idea of getting my friends bong slide and buying a glass drill bit to match the diameter of the slide. I hear some people saying you cant drill it at an angle, is this true? is there no way you can drill at an angle?

I was thinking of getting a Sobe bottle for it, the bottles are a nice size and they have little lizards carved in the glass around the top. If i could do this several times I could make one out of each type, because they all have wierd names, like Lizard Fuel and Tsunami and Liz Blizz lol.

Here is the one i wanted to use:
